Privacy Policy

Spellreign and magicware.studio · Last updated: October 27, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Magicware UG (haftungsbeschränkt) collects when you play Spellreign on Meta Quest or visit this website, why, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible

Magicware UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Managing Director: Krassimir Kondarev

2. Data we process in the game

Platform and account data (Meta). When you start Spellreign, Meta's platform confirms that you own the game and gives us your Meta user ID and username. We use them to run the game, show your name to opponents and on leaderboards, and prevent fraud. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Player account (Unity Authentication). The game creates a player account with an anonymous player ID, linked to your Meta user ID. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Online play (Unity Relay, Matchmaker, Netcode). To connect you with other players we process your IP address, approximate region, connection quality, rank and match data (for example spells cast, hits and results) while a match runs. Your opponent's device receives the game data needed to play the match, but not your IP address, which stays with the relay server. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Progress and rankings (Unity Cloud Save, Leaderboards). We store your progress (learned spells, story progress, rank, banners, arena records) and show your username, rank and scores on leaderboards visible to other players. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Analytics (Unity Analytics). If you agree, we collect gameplay events (for example which modes you play, how long sessions last and where players stop), device model, operating system, language, approximate location derived from the IP address, and an analytics ID. We use this only to improve the game. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in the game settings.

Crash reports (Unity Cloud Diagnostics). When the game crashes or reports an error, it sends a report containing the error log, device model, operating system, game version and a device identifier. We use it to fix bugs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, stable game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Player reports. If you report another player, or another player reports you, Meta's User Reporting Service sends us the report: the usernames involved, the reason, the reporter's description and, if the reporter agrees, their email address. We use reports to enforce fair play and safety. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (a safe community) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where the law requires us to act.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. Spellreign has no voice or text chat.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing before the withdrawal) – Art. 15–21 GDPR.

To delete your data or use any of these rights, email magicwareapps@gmail.com with your Meta username. We answer within one month. Uninstalling the game does not delete your online data.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example ours: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany – www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

6. Children

Spellreign follows the age rating shown on its Meta Horizon Store page and is not directed at children below that age. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. This website

Hosting. This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit, the server processes your IP address, browser, time of access and the page requested, to deliver the page and keep it secure; these logs are deleted after a short period. Transfers to the USA are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts and videos are served from this website itself – no data goes to Google, YouTube or other third parties when you view them.

Links to the Meta Horizon Store, Discord and social networks take you to those services, whose own privacy policies apply.

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics.

8. Changes

We update this policy when the game or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
